It has now been almost four years, precisely on March 2003, the Lord used your web site (ChristianSinglesDating.com) for us to be able to find each other in a very wonderful way.... through a "Prayer Request".

Calvin (borneo) sent a prayer request to the website and I (Anak Tuhan) was one of the members who received it. I always take every prayer request very seriously even though it came from someone that I never knew yet, because I believe God wants me to help them. I prayed for the prayer request that I received from Calvin and I sent an email to him just to let him know that I was praying for his request. I also thanked him for the opportunity that he gave me to serve the Lord, because for me praying for others means serving the Lord.

After I sent the email to him, I did not really expect any reply from him because I thought he just needed a prayer and that prayer request was sent to all the members of this website. But apparently, he replied to my email and I immediately could sense that he was "a man of God." Since then we started to communicate to each other every day and in a very short time we fell in love.

I am from Jakarta, Indonesia and Calvin is from Mansfield, Ohio. When I was still in my country I did not have any big dreams to live in another country like USA.... I was too afraid of changes and to take that step was way too big for me. My dream to come to America was only for a vacation and it was easy to make that dream come true because I was working with an international airline company.... so I could fly for free.

But apparently God had a perfect plan for my life and He made it easy for me.
Calvin was really an answer to my prayer. I prayed for a husband to God for a long time, many times thinking God just wanted me to stay single.... when I prayed I said to Him that if He would let me get married, I just wanted a man who loves Him, and a man that He would choose for me.... not my will, but His will, but if He wanted me to stay single, I will be faithful to Him and serve Him all of my life.

After two months sending email to each other, I told Calvin that I would go to Holland (Europe) for a vacation, and also visiting my uncles and some relatives. And he asked me if he could meet me in Holland.... I was so surprise when he asked me that, and also it make me happy to hear him say that. So, on May 25, 2003.... we met each other face to face for the first time at Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam. It was a wonderful meeting.... he was so handsome and I really could see Jesus in him. We stayed separately in Holland... I stayed in my uncle's house and he stayed in a hotel. We did not want to give the devil a chance to stain our relationship. Calvin is really a wonderful man of God, he always treated me with honor during our vacation in Holland and my uncles love him. They could get along together very good and they enjoyed talking with him because he is fun. We spent eight wonderful and memorable days of our vacation in Holland... God was so good to us, every day seemed like miracles to us and we could get along together so perfectly just like we had known each other forever. Two days before Calvin went back to America, he proposed to me on a beach in Texel Island.... without doubt, and with peace that God put in my heart.... I said yes to him, I truly beleive that he was God's answer of my prayer.

After he proposed to me, we made plans to get married on Sept 05, 2003 in America.... that was our plan, but we really did not know if we could make it because it all depended on my visa arrangement for entering the US. I was not sure whether I could get the visa in time or not.
So, after I got back to Jakarta, I immediately made an appointment for a visa application interview to the US Embassy. The interview appointment was for Aug. 7, 2003. Two days before the visa interview, there was a big bomb explosion at the Marriot Hotel in Jakarta, and usually the US embassy would take an action if something like that happened, they might tighten the security or possibly close. I was so afraid that I would not be able to have the interview. I sent email to Calvin about that and asked him to pray for me... he immediately called me after he received my email and told me that he had been praying and fasting for me for my visa interview, I was so touched to hear that. Praise the Lord, the US embassy did not take any serious action and they opened normally. My interview was very short and went smoothly. The US embassy immediately approved my visa application... God was so good. Finally we would be able to have our wedding as planned. On Sept.01, 2003 after a very long flight (more than 24 hours), I arrived in Columbus airport and Calvin met me there. I was so very happy to see him again and so excited that soon I would be his wife. At the airport parking lot he gave me a big surprise... a car and decorated with a very big golden bow!!!! It was really a big big surprise... I was speechless and what I could do was only give him a very big loving hug.

Sept. 05, 2005 was the most special day of our life, we got married on this day at the River of Life Community Church and it was a great wedding ceremony as I really could feel the presense of God. My wedding was also my Birthday Gift from God, because Sept. 05 is also my birthday. We had not much time to prepare our wedding because everything just started after I got the visa, it's only less than a month. But, apparently God had already prepared everything for us, our wedding ceremony at church and the wedding reception were so wonderful. And also thanks to all Calvin's friends who helped him during the preparation, they were really a very big help to Calvin because I was in Jakarta and came only 4 days before the wedding. They worked so hard to make our wedding so wonderful... and now, they are also my friends. I got married for the first time when I was 41 years old, but I never felt that it was too late because I believe that was God's timing and His timing is perfect and God gave me the best... the most wonderful loving husband. We thank God for now almost four wonderful years of our marriage. I love Calvin more and more everyday.... we are so blessed by God to have each other. God is always faithful, and He is never late. "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isa. 40:31 "We are one in our love for God , One in our longing to serve Him, One in our love for each other, And one in the nurturing of our child to be!" Never give up hope! & Love Always,
