Suzy, my precious friend. I wondered why so many times why you didn't write to me via/email, but I now know and understand. My heart just aches for you in what you are going through. My prayers for you and also for Sarah that this will draw the both of you closer to each other during this time of tests and surgery's etc. Sometimes God uses illnesses to lead us to a closer walk with the Lord of Glory. He is an awesome God. May Jesus be your constant companion in the times ahead. He never walks away from us, it is us that do that walking.
I am glad that you are musically talented, because I am one who loves music and loves to sing. I just do not do it often enough and need to get back to singing at church. I have been on the music committee for going on 7 years. I sometimes have a problem finding people if someone declines at the last minute.
It has been 5 years this next Sabbath since I sang my last solo. It was hard to sing as it was just shortly after my brother here in Loveland passed away and it was a song that I grew up hearing him sing, then I closed with a chorus of Because He Lives.
Our God certainly is truly awesome, loving, powerful and forgiving. It is no wonder that the Angels in Heaven cannot stop singing "Holy, Holy, Holy"
Someday down the corridors of heaven, Jesus will come with all of His angels to take His children home to be with Him. Oh what a day, glorious day that will be.
Suzy, I love you and will be praying for you daily that the God who gave His all, will bring that blessed healing of your body.

Dear Betty, Thanks for what you wrote to me. I'll be seeing a Neuro surgeon this week and hopefully I will learn more about this unoperable brain tumor. I don't know his will in this or the why and I hope to be able to last for my music is finally coming together after years of sitting on this awesome gift God gave me but most importantly I need to be here for my sweet little SArah. I hope that is his will for me too. Either way I trust him no matter what. That isn't a place I've ever really felt comfortable in before, so thats saying very much for me. I hope to be back on here regularly this week. I received a back check for $12 today. I love your heart Betty it is full of wisdom and of love for people. I miss you. Love, Suzy Whittaker

I had what I thought was 5 days of cluster migraines that were unresponsive to the normally working precribed medications. I didn't want to be full of this pain all day thanksgiving and one of my close friends whom is a mormon, no less said you should go to E.R. what if something else is wrong, she said she was scared for me. I had had two mini-strokes within 6 weeks of each other in april and may had some asphasia for a day or so but the Cat S can & MRI were clear and I had no brain damage, no paralysis and left the next day at 6pm. Last evening they discovered an abnormality on the Cat Scan, scary enough, then the MRI which I only got half way through because I had an anxiety attack in the machine but it was enough to give the neurologist I had in April and May enough information to say you have a mass in your brain and it is pressing on the brain and your brain is swollen. He had the nurse administer by IV some meds to start bring the swelling and pain down. Then he told me that the mass was not curable and because of the position in the brain where it was he couldn't remove it all without severly disabling me both mentally and physically inlcluding left side paralysis at a minimum. I cried, i know I was in shock I couldn't process it and have a bit now, just a bit. He has me calling his office to schedule a consult with 1 of the neurosurgeons he works with and said they may have to send me back in the closed MRI under a sedative to get more pictures to show the neurosurgeon a better idea of where to make his incision. I can't give my hair to locks of love cuz I have color treatment, so I guess they'll just have to shave it all off. It took me 6 years to get it this long but a small price to pay to save my life hopefully, let me raise my daughter and all the joy she brings me. She just know Mommy has to go in the hospital for a few days so they can run some more tests cuz of her headaches, age appropriate and all she really needs to know. Her grandfather, my dad died in Feb. 2004. My new husband of 6 months a false christian walked out on april 23, 2005 without a word and she is over that now, she knows he was not a good man and that I was fooled cuz I met him in church and there were some good things about him but as soon as the ring went on my finger a 180 isn't severe enough like a 980! Ha! So they will be performing this surgery hopefully next week not the week of the 27, cuz I have no will drawn, no guardian and no one whom I know can take her should somehting happen in surgery or later down the road, its my huggest concern that she never end up in the system. If when they microscop the portion they remove from the brain and it shows cancerous cells they will immediately send me to another hospital probably after some time to heal from the brain surgery to begin radiation and chemotherapy treatment. This is going to be a fight so I am assuming the name Fighter777, believing 7 is God's number and I am asking you all to pray for me and my sweet Sarah, I am trying to declutter and get my top floor presentable cuz Christmas is coming and my daughter goes to a Lutheran school less than one-half of a block from our duplex, I walk her every morning, she's in second grade and takes ballet on Mon. after school She has a full schloarship. I have to have a power of health attorney drawn up and got about a week to do it. I got to spend Thanksgiving with my closest friend of 23 years and she doesn't believe theres anything after death, she thinks it is here and thats it, so I know she's watching how I react to all this, maybe it will bring her to the LOrd that would be worth it all. If the brain tumor isn't cancerous it can grow back and swell and that have to get some out again but that sure sounds better than leaving my daughter and orphan to the stystem and the tought of that is horrid to me. PLeae if you have churches, ask them to pray for Sarah & I and my friend, Jinx (yes thats her real full first name, she's 59.)I had a wonderful thanksgiving there and Sarah played with her gransons. It was sunny and a bit warm so I went outside and let them play for a while. Nanette & Larry this is Suzan who is usually a Saphirre on hardship, I hope to return on Dec. 1. I really need the people on here I've met especially Gramma Betty, the writer. She is one of the sweetest souls around. MOst likely my computer is being reformatted by my best friend, the unbelievers daughter this Sunday so I will acutually be able to email people, right now I'm only safe in sites.
