You state it is only once or twice a year, what are the circumstances? at home with just a glass or two? or out on the town getting slushed? Does he get rude and out of control? Yes it does matter.
There are to sides to the drinking question, some beleive that the bible says that it is ok to drink in moderation and there are those that beleive it is not right to drink at all. To judge all that beleive that scripture says it is ok in moderation to be non Christian would be wrong. Clearly you are in opposite sides yet you are both Christians and I would hope in agreement on the core issues that make one a Christian. Having a drink on a rare ocassion is not what makes or brakes a christian. Since this appears to be your only problem, it sounds to me that you are lucky to have each other, besides over time the chances are if he truely loves you he will give it up on his own, men don't like to be presured into things, they like to feel that it was there choice :)
You state that he is totally connected to God, clearly you must beleive that or you would not say it?

I meant this guy and I think he is great he fits everything that I am and everything that I love. There is just one problem, he does something that I don't really agree with, he drinks once in awhile. If you are totally connected to God is like he is, and I am, why would he go through drinking when God doesn't approve of it?
Should I ignore my convictions of what he does and go ahead with the relationship? Or should I just give up on having a relationship with him, due to me not believing in his drinking, even if its only once or twice a year.
