Dear Nannette,
Thank you for the extension. You may be interested in an excerpt from the
reply I sent to a "free trial member" just this morning:
"What a surprise to find your charming response this morning. I
had forgotten that free trial members may reply. Of course, the owners ask
that you not reveal your contact information, which you did not (that's a
"plus" to me, that you are ethical from the get-go). So, why am I able to
write you now? I sign on here so infrequently, that when I do I usually run
a 30-day new members search, and last night your profile came up. Perhaps
not the most cost-efficient method of "doing business", but I am actually
supporting this home-based, extremely ethical business in my decision to
re-up for a month."
Nannette, a membership I could not really afford (but was convinced of the
higher quality of people because of the price of joining) at eHarmony
turned out to be such disaster. Out of 56 "matches" they provided, most
responded that they were already in a relationship, some said distance was
the issues, and of that, I only got to "open communication" with 8. The
last two were 1) a nude volleyball enthusiast (participant), and 2) a guy
that told women "3 things" about himself: he had recently declared
bankruptcy, he had herpes, and he had false teeth!
So, you are still the only site on which I feel comfortable putting out my
profile. Thanks for being a "home-town" company of which I can be proud to
be a part.
